Tiggs Da Author, who’s collaborated with musicians including J Hus and Stefflon Don, is becoming a recognisable voice in UK music, the second most synched artist on Sony’s roster in 2017, having written tracks for campaigns for Apple, Google, FIFA, Sky Sports, Amazon, Virgin and Ford.

In March, the Tanzanian-born, London-based singer and producer releases his biographical debut album, blending Afrobeat, Afrojazz and Afrosoul, representing the multiple sounds of Africa. Commenting on the album ahead of its release, Tiggs said ‘Listen to this and you’ll be in the brain of this teenager who’s explaining exactly how he feels. Me moving from Tanzania then growing up in south London with no father figure. You just have to learn from your mistakes and teach yourself how to be a man’.
